Spiritualitet : en ny dimensjon i relgionsforskningen

2006

Avhandling for graden doctor philosophiae Universitetet i Agder, Fakultet for humaniora og pedagogikk In this study, the process leading up to the adoption of the Norwegian Same-sex marriage laws is taken as an example of how normativity is institutionalized in a field related to the religious dimensions of life, in a pluralized society. These documents are (1) The UN Convention of the Rights of the Child and Norwegian family laws, (2) the governmental …

2012

Author's version of an article in the journal: Teologisk Tidsskrift. Also available from the publisher at: http://www.idunn.no/ts/tt/2012/01/art06 The article consists of two parts: Part one seeks to demonstrate (contra Bauckham) that Jewish monotheism in the Second Temple period was of a flexible character. It argues that Jewish writers in this period could attribute «divine functions» to figures beside God, while still feeling committed to «one God». The Jewish monotheism of this period was therefore not constituted by functions or characteristics, but rather by the exclusive worship of the one God. Part two argues that Paul describes Jesus with a high position beside God, while still fee…

2014

Author's version of an article in the journal: Teologisk tidsskrift. Also available from the publisher at: http://www.idunn.no/ts/tt/2014/03/jesus_fra_nikea_-_tre_merknader_til_oskar_skarsaunes_visdo This article discusses three key aspects of the wisdom Christology of Oskar Skarsaune, as it is portrayed in his influential book Inkarnasjonen – myte eller faktum? (1988; Incarnation – myth or fact?, 1991): (1) The claim that Jesus through his “first-person speech” speaks with divine authority that makes an identification with the wisdom figure inevitable. (2) The emphasis that the messiah category is insufficient to describe the person of Jesus. (3) The emphasis that wisdom is begotten – and …
